friday favorites.
here are my favorites for this week:
- icurve powerbook stand. it's surprising how a little height and an external keyboard (see below) can make a powerbook so much more, er, powerful. at $39, it's a deal!
- make-your-own trail mix. i'm a little bit obsessed with walnuts and dried bing cherries. it's to the point where i need to make a special trip to trader joe's for said bing cherries. anyway, i never liked the pre-mixed trail mix, so a good option for me is to make my own. trader joe's has a variety of organic fruit and nuts so you'll never be bored with the same ol', same ol'. about $8.
- tea tree oil. i never used to care for the smell of tea tree oil (it's pretty strong), but i've recently tried it for those pms-induced breakouts and also for a rash on my hands and feet. it works pretty well on my blemishes and very well on my feet. i'm still treating my hands, but i'd check this out for a natural alternative to a bunch of expensive products. about $7.
- kensington slim type keyboard. a surprise gift from my better half (yes, we're techies as this constitutes foreplay), this external keyboard hasn't disappointed. my favorite part? the "intuitive hot keys for one-touch multimedia control" (basically an easy way to play, pause, stop, forward, rewind and make louder itunes). $40.
- my jackson roll neck pillow. ah, yes. such a little roll of joy. my neck pillow and i go back about a year. after suffering an incredible amount of back pain and headaches, i received acupuncture for a good while and my doctor recommended this pillow during treatment. let's just say we've been inseparable ever since. like it goes everywhere with me because it works. the best $14 i've ever spent.
